Rob Moore has a proven track record. He is committed to building a stronger, brighter future for the people of Fundy Royal:
- Making life more affordable by lowering taxes on work, energy, homebuilding, investment, making products in Canada, and eliminating the carbon tax entirely - once and for all.
- Combating crime that threatens the safety and security of our communities, and repealing the Liberal's soft-on-crime Bill C-5 that eliminated mandatory jail time for drug producers, drug traffickers, and drug smugglers.
- Unleashing Canada's potential and making our country more self-reliant by supporting energy projects that serve our regional and national interest, and repealing the Liberal's No-New Pipelines Law Bill C-69.
- Strengthening our economy, asserting our sovereignty, protecting our people and always putting Canada First.
Re-Elect Rob Moore for Fundy Royal - It's time for you to get ahead.
- It’s time to Put Canada First - For a Change.
- Today, the Liberals are asking for a fourth term in power, after swapping Justin Trudeau for his economic advisor and handpicked successor, Mark Carney.
- Conservatives want to restore the Canadian promise for all Canadians: that hard work gets you a great life in a beautiful house on a safe street under our proud flag.
- After the lost Liberal decade, that promise is broken.
- Liberal taxes drove food prices up 37% faster in Canada than in the U.S.
- Housing costs have doubled, as Liberals inflated demand with out-of-control immigration and money printing, and blocked homebuilding with bureaucracy
- Open borders and Liberal crime and drug laws unleashed violence, disorder, and deadly overdoses.
- Ten years of Liberals hiking taxes and blocking resource projects gave Canada the worst growth in the G7 and sent a half-trillion dollars of Canadian investment to the U.S.
- Desperate for a fourth term, Liberals swapped out Justin Trudeau for his economic advisor and hand-picked successor, Mark Carney.
- A Liberal is a Liberal is a Liberal – the same old Liberal MPs, same Liberal ministers, same Liberal advisors, same Liberal elites, and the same Liberal broken promises of the last 10 years.
- Mr. Carney and Mr. Trump agree. They both want to tax Canadian industry—Carney’s carbon tax and Trump’s tariffs will send our jobs south.
- Canadians cannot afford another lost Liberal decade. A new Common sense Conservative government will put Canada First—for a change.
- Common Sense Conservatives will:
- Introduce a Bring It Home Tax Cut on work, homes, energy, and investment. Lower taxes for a change to bring home businesses and jobs and let Canadians bring home more of their paycheques.
- Fully repeal the Liberal carbon tax law and axe the tax on everything, for everyone, for real, for good, for a change.
- Axe the sales tax on new homes, incentivize municipalities to speed up permits, free up land and cut building taxes to restore the dream of homeownership.
- Bring home our resource jobs–repealing the Liberal No-Pipelines Law C-69, lifting the Liberal cap on energy that Carney said he will keep, and quickly approving LNG plants, pipelines, mines, and major projects.
- Bring in Canada First Shovel Ready Zones will pre-permit big projects, so Canadians can stop filling out paperwork and start building now.
- Approve a new national pipeline—like the one the Liberals blocked a few years back—we could send prairie oil to the Maritimes and over the Atlantic to break Europe’s dependence on Putin while we break our dependence on the United States.
- Knock down interprovincial trade barriers creating one open free market economy.
- Repeal the Liberals’ catch-and-release laws, impose mandatory jail time for repeat offenders, ban hard drugs and offer recovery treatment to bring our loved ones home drug-free.
- Cap immigration, stop the radical and dangerous Liberal Century Initiative which would balloon Canada’s population to 100 million people and more than double the population of our cities during a housing crisis.
- Keep out and deport criminals, stop fraud and crack down on bogus refugee claims.
- Rebuild our military for a change with new ice-breakers, a new arctic base, more troops, and better support for our veterans.
- None of this will be easy. But making and defending Canada was not easy. And with change there is hope.
- For the mother struggling to afford groceries. For the 35-year-old who wants to move out of mom’s basement, buy a home and start a family. For seniors choosing between heating and eating.
- For everyone who wonders what happened to the Canada they knew and love, hope and change are on the way.
- For Canada First – For a change.
Conservative position on the childcare program
- A Canada First Conservative Government led by Pierre Poilievre will honour childcare deals with the provinces and bring home flexibility and freedom for parents, providers, and provinces.
- No child will lose their $10/day child care.
- After the lost Liberal decade’s cost-of-living crisis, child care in Canada is in chaos.
- An overly restrictive model that removed private for-profit operators has harmed parental choice and resulted in less access to childcare and longer waiting lists.
- The Carney-Liberals, massive top-down bureaucratic system has meant 120,000 fewer kids have day care spaces than when they created the programme.
- Their government knows best one-size-fits-all model has shut down countless private daycares that don't meet their arbitrary criteria.
- Conservatives will deliver a more flexible system that will allow private care, home-based care and a range of options that will actually allow families to access the care they need.
Lower Taxes, Secure Retirement for Our Seniors
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre announced his plan today to put seniors back in control of their retirements, lowering their taxes and keep more of their earnings. Poilievre’s common sense plan will:
- Allow working seniors to earn up to $34,000 tax free—$10k more than now.
- Allow seniors the option of keeping savings growing in RRSPs until age 73, up from 71.
- Protect OAS, GIS & CPP by keeping the retirement age at 65.
“Our seniors should not have to work. But they should not be punished when they choose to,” Poilievre said. “We should reward rather than punish work. Those that choose to grow their savings for longer should have the chance. And we will not raise the retirement age. Seniors will keep getting their OAS, GIS and CPP at age 65.”
Many seniors want to continue to work in their retirement. Some like the extra money. Others enjoy the activity. Either way, it should not be punished with clawbacks and taxes. Earnings should go into the pockets of our wonderful seniors.
Dental Care
- No one will lose their dental care under a Conservative Government led by Pierre Poilievre.
- We will honour existing commitments related to the dental care program.
- We remain deeply concerned about the effect Liberal policies will have on Canadians with workplace, union or other private plans, and the additional difficulty they will find getting on those plans now.
- We are also concerned that Canadians on a private plan do not qualify, forcing Canadians to choose to give up their existing plan if they wish to receive benefits from the federal plan.
- Conservatives will retain coverage for those already relying on the dental care plan while working to preserve people’s existing coverage.
Canada First National Energy Corridor
- Pierre Poilievre will create a ‘Canada First’ National Energy Corridor to fast-track approvals for critical infrastructure across Canada in a pre-approved transport corridor entirely within Canada.
- It will approve transmission lines, railways, pipelines, and other infrastructure, transporting our resources within Canada and to the world while bypassing the United States.
- This will bring billions of dollars of new investment into Canada’s economy, create powerful paycheques for Canadian workers, and restore our economic independence.
- The Canada First Energy Corridor will enable us to quickly build the infrastructure we need to strengthen our country so we can stand on our own two feet and stand up to the Americans.
- Under the Lost Liberal Decade, Canada cancelled 16 major energy projects, resulting in a $176 billion hit to our economy.
- The Liberals killed the Energy East pipeline and passed Bill C-69, the “No-New-Pipelines” law, which makes it all but impossible to build the pipelines and energy infrastructure we need to strengthen the Canadian economy.
- In 2024, Canada exported 98% of its crude oil to the United States. This leaves us too dependent on the Americans.
- The Canada First National Energy Corridor will get us out from under America’s thumb by building the infrastructure we need to sell our natural resources to new markets, bring home jobs and dollars, and make us sovereign and self-reliant.
- The choice is clear: a fourth Liberal term that will keep our resources in the ground and keep us weak and vulnerable to Trump’s threats.
- Or a strong new Conservative government that will approve projects, build an economic fortress, bring jobs and dollars home, and put Canada First—For a Change.
Protect Canada’s Fisheries
- Put Science First: A Conservative Government will return to completing appropriate assessments and monitoring of Canada’s fishery stocks so better and more timely management decisions for fish harvesters can be determined to allow the industry to prepare for the upcoming fishing season.
- Restore Law and Order: Conservatives will restore the sustainability of the Atlantic fishery by ensuring that fishing is allowed only in accordance with DFO regulations.
- Protect Harvester Rights – Conservatives will uphold the principle of Willing Buyer/Willing Seller so that if new entrants access quota or fishing rights, it be purchased at fair market value from existing license holders who are willing to sell. Fishing access obtained through this policy must be managed by DFO with clear conservation objectives based on science.
TFSA Top Up
- The existing $7,000 limit would remain, but Canadians will now be able to contribute up to an additional $5,000 a year if that money supports Canadian companies that employ Canadian workers and pay Canadian taxes.
- The Canada First TFSA is about boosting Canadian businesses and unleashing our economy so that we can stand up to Trump from a position of strength.
Axe The Sales Tax On New Homes
- Conservatives will axe the federal sales tax on new homes up to $1.3 million.
- Poilievre’s plan will save homebuyers up to $65,000 on the purchase of an average home in our big cities, saving roughly $3,000 in mortgage payments annually. It will also spark the creation of 36,000 extra homes annually and generate income for construction workers and businesses.
- That will raise an extra $2.52 billion in income tax revenue from trades workers and home builders.
- Conservatives will also incentivize municipalities to free up land, speed up permits and cut development charges to build 15% more homes each year.
- This massive homebuyers’ tax cut would be funded by eliminating $8 billion of the Carney Liberals’ bureaucratic housing programs that have only driven up housing prices.
- When Poilievre was housing minister, it took 39 percent of the median household income to cover the cost of homeownership. After Carney’s advice and Trudeau’s leadership, it now takes up to 60 percent.
- Only Conservatives will bring home the dream of home ownership and restore the Canadian promise by building more, taxing less and getting government out of the way.
Life Sentences
- Poilievre will put the safety of Canadians first—for a change—by ensuring the very worst criminals never walk free again.
- Specifically, Poilievre will impose life sentences for anyone who is convicted of 5 or more counts of human trafficking, importing or exporting ten or more illegal firearms or fentanyl trafficking.
- The Lost Liberal Decade has made our communities more dangerous.
- Violent crime has soared by 50%, human trafficking has skyrocketed by 84%, and a shocking 85% of guns seized in Toronto are traced back to the U.S., fueling a rise in gun violence across the country.
- Meanwhile, fentanyl has killed more than 50,000 Canadians– more than died fighting for Canada in the Second World War.
- This crime wave is the direct result of the Liberals’ soft-on-crime agenda.
- Bill C-5 ended mandatory jail time for serious gun and drug crimes, letting criminals off the hook and Bill C-75 weakened bail, putting repeat offenders back on the streets faster.
- Liberals slashed penalties for human traffickers, making it harder to lock them up.
- As Justin Trudeau’s advisor, Mark Carney remained silent as Liberals gutted the criminal code and made Canada a criminal playground.
Tax Fairness for Travelling Trades Workers
- A new Conservative government will end tax breaks for luxury corporate jets and instead, let trades workers claim the full cost of their travel.
- Common Sense Conservatives will ensure that travelling trades workers will be able to write off the full cost of food, transportation and accommodation.
- Write-offs for luxury corporate jets will be ended. Corporations will only be able to write off the equivalent of a commercial flight.
- Charter flights needed to get workers to remote job sites will not be impacted by this change.
- Under this Act, anyone who must travel more than 120 km from their ordinary place of residence to a job site will be able to deduct their expenses, just as other businesses do.
- These are the people who build our country and it’s outrageous that jet-setting executives get better tax treatment than they do.
- We need a new Conservative government that puts Canada and its incredible workers first — For a Change.
Poilievre Commits to all 5 Energy Sector Asks
- A new Conservative government will listen to our energy producers, the men and women who build the infrastructure and sell the oil and gas that drives our economy, and immediately repeal Liberal anti-growth laws and slash costly red tape so we can approve resource projects and quickly build the energy infrastructure we need to unleash our economy and make Canada strong and free again.
- Repeal the “No-New-Pipelines” Law and the Tanker Ban so we can build new pipelines and LNG terminals to export our energy overseas, ending our economic dependence on the United States.
- Six-Month Approvals set a target for decisions on resource project applications within six months.
Make Recovery a Reality for 50,000 Canadians
Pierre Poilievre will invest in recovery, cut off federal funding for opioids and defund drug dens, so we can bring our loved ones home drug free.
Specifically, Poilievre will:
• Fund treatment for 50,000 Canadians in treatment centres with a proven record of success at getting people off drugs. Funding will follow results.
• Ban taxpayer-funded drug dens from being located within 500 metres of schools, daycares, playgrounds, parks, and seniors’ homes and impose strict new oversight rules.
• Crack down on the Liberals’ reckless experiments with free access to illegal drugs that allow provinces to operate drug sites with no oversight.
• Pause any new federal exemptions until evidence justifies they support recovery.
• Existing federal sites will be required to focus on connecting users with treatment, meet stricter regulatory standards, or be shut down.
• End the exemption for fly-by-night provincially-regulated sites.
• To fund this policy, a Conservative government will stop federal funding for opioids, defund federal drug dens, and sue the opioid manufacturers and consulting companies who created this crisis in the first place.
- Scrap the job-killing energy cap on Canadian growth, and approve and build major new projects fast.
- Axe the Industrial Carbon tax to take the tax off Canadian steel, aluminum, natural gas, food production, concrete and all other major industries, lowering prices and bringing home powerful paycheques for Canadians.
- Indigenous Loan Guarantees by establishing the Canadian Indigenous Opportunities Corporation (CIOC), led by Indigenous people, to offer loan guarantees for Indigenous communities.
- Now Canadians have a real choice between a fourth Liberal term that continues to make our country weaker and poorer and a new Conservative government that will make us sovereign and self-reliant to stand up to Trump from a position of strength.
Three Strikes and You’re Out
- Pierre Poilievre announced he will end the Liberal wave of violent crime by passing a ThreeStrikes-and-You’re-Out law to keep dangerous criminals behind bars longer and bring home safe streets.
- This law will stop criminals convicted of three serious offences from getting bail, probation, parole or house arrest.
- Poilievre will make sure that three-time serious criminals get a minimum prison term of 10 years and up to a life sentence.
- They will also be designated as Dangerous Offenders, meaning they cannot be released until they prove they are no longer a danger.
- The only way for these repeat criminals to obtain their freedom will be through spotless behaviour and clean drug tests during a lengthy minimum prison sentence.
- Earned release will be dependent on improving themselves and their life opportunities, such as by learning a trade or upgrading their education.
- As a result of the Lost Liberal Decade, violent crime has skyrocketed by 50 percent, while gun crime is up 116 percent.
